A sustainability ethos rests at the heart of our business and has always extended through every component of our work. From recycling all of our offcuts into tote bags to using a rainwater catchment system to wash all of our fabrics, to a deep belief in the power of responsible, thoughtful production to create long-lasting jobs -- sustainability in all its facets is a part of who we are.

While it's always been our hope that our dresses would last a lifetime, we've come to realize that in fact, they can last many lifetimes in different homes, which is why we created this platform. We've often mused about the sisterhood of the traveling dress and marveled at the community that has convened around our clothes, and we hope that Common Threads will be a space for our dresses to live many new lives, perhaps with the occasional sign of growth in a mend, a new stamp in the passport in the form of a patch, but a durable, gorgeous and comfortable dress at its heart!
